Zur Person

Jana Wilmers studierte an der Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg im Bachelor Chemie mit Materialwissenschaften und anschließend an der Universität des Saarlandes Materialwissenschaften im Master.
Im Anschluss an das Masterstudium war sie von 2012 bis 2016 am Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht (heute: Hereon) beschäftigt. 2016 schloss sie Ihre Promotion auf dem Gebiet der multiphysikalisch gekoppelten Materialmodellierung an der Technischen Universität Hamburg ab. Als PostDoc an der Bergischen Universität Wuppertal forschte sie im Bereich Hochleistungs-Nanokomposite und biologische Materialien.

Seit August 2024 ist Jana Wilmers Professorin für "Höhere Technische Mechanik" an der Hochschule Stralsund.
