Recognition

Have you already completed periods of study, coursework and examinations in another degree programme at a university and would like to have them recognised?

To apply, please submit the following documents:

• the application for recognition of periods of study, coursework and examinations
• an official grade transcript including any failed attempts (achievements graded 5.0)
• a module description for each course (if the modules were taken at another university)

You submit your application to your study office. Your faculty will review your application and the examination board will make a decision.

Applicants who wish to enrol in a higher semester of a degree programme must submit the application for credit transfer with their application.

If you are already a student at HOST and would like to have credits transferred from another university or from another degree programme, you must submit the application no later than two months after the start of the lecture period of the semester.

For examinations taken abroad, grades are converted via the HOST's Department of Study and Examination Affairs. You can find more information on this under Studying abroad (recognition of ECTS credits).

Recognised examinations are included in the transcript of records with the note "recognised".

Recognition

Competences acquired outside the university sector, in particular relevant completed vocational training and relevant practical professional activities, can be recognised if the content and objectives of the vocational training, practical professional activity or other competences acquired outside the university are equivalent to those of the degree programme in terms of content, scope and requirements. The application is made using a form. Further information can be found in the guidelines.

Deadline

Please note the application deadline: no later than two months after the start of the lecture period of the semester in which you commenced your studies at Stralsund University of Applied Sciences you submit your application to your study office.

You are welcome to seek advice from the General Student Advisory Service or the faculties' study programme representatives.

As a BAföG recipient, you should definitely seek advice from the BAföG office (contact on the BAföG page) before changing your degree programme.
