The Master's thesis is an examination paper that concludes the Master's degree programme. With this Master's thesis, the student is supposed to show that she/he is able to work on a problem independently according to scientific methods within a given period of time. The completion of the Master's thesis, including the colloquium, comprises 30 ECTS. This scope of an entire semester enables the students to deal with a scientific problem in depth within the framework of their thesis. The thesis is supervised by 2 professors/teachers and/or a company representative. The colloquium is the oral examination of the thesis.

Within the Master's programme International Innovation Management, the last semester is reserved for the preparation and defence of the Master's thesis. Depending on the study variant, this can be the 3rd or 4th semester. 

The thesis is generally to be written in English, exceptions are possible in justified cases.
